Fujairah bunker sales dropped by 8% in June
Lower VLSFO and HSFO sales contributed to drag Fujairah’s total bunker sales down by 8% in June.
Changes in Fujairah bunker fuel sales from May to June:
- Total sales down by 8% to 553,000 mt
- VLSFO sales down by 11% to 358,000 mt
- HSFO sales down by 3% to 159,000 mt
- LSMGO sales up by 8% to 29,000 mt
Fujairah’s bunker sales fell to their lowest level since February, averaging around 18,000 mt/day in June—a drop of about 1,000 mt/day compared to May.
VLSFO, the most in-demand grade, saw a sharp decline of around 45,500 mt, with daily sales averaging approximately 12,000 mt in June. HSFO sales also decreased by about 5,000 mt, totalling 159,000 mt in June.
In contrast, LSMGO sales rose by 2,000 mt to reach 29,000 mt for the month.
Fujairah's total bunker sales for the first half of the year stood at 3.6 million mt, down 5% from the same period last year.
Fuel grade share of total sales in June (compared to the year to date):
- 65% VLSFO 380cst (67% YTD)
- 1.32% VLSFO 180cst (0.61% YTD)
- 29% HSFO (28% YTD)
- 5% LSMGO (5% YTD)
- 0.04% of 0.50% MGO (0.04% YTD)
