Rotterdam’s B30-VLSFO (POMEME) price has gained $14/mt in the past week, while Antwerp’s B30-VLSFO (UCOME) price has fallen $12/mt.

Consequently, the Belgian port’s premium over Rotterdam has almost halved to $28/mt since last week.

This, despite Rotterdam and Antwerp's conventional VLSFO prices gaining by $4/mt and $18/mt, respectively, in the last week. Prima-assessed POMEME and UCOME ARA barge prices have fallen $6/mt in the same period.

Getting biofuel supplies anywhere in the ARA hub requires around 7-10 days of lead time, a trader said.

Meanwhile, Gibraltar’s premium over Antwerp has widened by $19/mt in the past week.

Bunkering B30-LSMGO in Lisbon is around $218/mt costlier compared to Rotterdam, while B30-VLSFO supplies in the Portuguese port can cost around $199/mt more.

Asia

Singapore’s B30-VLSFO price has increased by $21/mt in the last week, which is the steepest increase among the major ports.

The port’s conventional VLSFO price has gained by only $8/mt in the same period. This has increased the biofuel blend’s price premium over the conventional fuel grade by $13/mt in the last week.

Prima-assessed UCOME China barge price, which is closely related to Singapore’s biofuel blend price, has remained unchanged in the past week.

Bunkering B30-VLSFO in Singapore may offer a $20/mt discount to the blend's price in Fujairah.

In other news:

Italian energy firm Eni's subsidiary Enilive has started offering hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO)-based biofuel for bunkering in Venice. Enilive said it will offer “direct refuelling” option for ships, with deliveries carried out by barge.

Global logistics firm DSV will use German shipowner Hapag-Lloyd’s biofuel consumption to claim around 18,000 mtCO2e of well-to-wake emissions reductions over two years under a book-and-claim arrangement. Under the agreement, Hapag-Lloyd will physically bunker an unspecified volume of waste- and residue-based biofuel across its fleet.

Towage provider Svitzer announced that it has supplied one of its service vessels with 100% Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil (HVO 100) in the Port of Southampton in U.K.
