Strong south-westerly wind gusts of 25-30 knots are forecast to blow in the area throughout the day, with a risk of exceeding 35 knots during the evening hours. The wind gusts are expected to continue until 15 November evening.
All incoming traffic has been suspended at the port, port agent MH Bland said.
There are already 13 vessels awaiting bunkers that are stranded due to the suspension, and some suppliers are running around a day behind schedule, MH Bland said.
The queues are expected to increase and cause more supply delays once the weather recovers and traffic is allowed to resume.
