Biofuel Bunker Snapshot: Little price change in major ports
Feedstock prices rise in ARA
Gibraltar’s B30-VLSFO $66/mt costlier than ARA
Hong Kong at $14/mt discount to Singapore
Rotterdam
Bio-bunker prices in Rotterdam and the wider ARA region have remained largely stable over the past week.
Rotterdam’s B30-VLSFO (HBE) has been unchanged, while its B30-LSMGO (HBE) price has inched up by $1/mt on the week. In the wider ARA region, B30-VLSFO (UCOME) and B30-LSMGO (UCOME) prices have also held steady.
Prima’s UCOME FOB ARA and POMEME CIF ARA barge prices have risen by $21/mt over the same period.
But the increase in feedstock prices has been fully offset by a $9–10/mt decline in Rotterdam’s VLSFO and LSMGO benchmarks.
B30-VLSFO (UCOME) was indicated at $856/mt in both Algeciras and Gibraltar ports earlier this week, which was priced at a $66/mt premium over the ARA’s benchmark on the same day.
Singapore
Singapore’s B24-VLSFO price has edged higher by $2/mt and its B24-LSMGO has gained by a bigger $8/mt on the week.
A $5/mt decline in Prima’s UCOME FOB China barge price has been countered by a $5-18/mt rise in Singapore’s conventional fuel benchmarks.
B24-VLSFO (UCOME) was indicated at $675/mt in Hong Kong, at a $14/mt discount to Singapore on the day. The same blend was indicated in Fujairah at $691/mt earlier this week, at a $2/mt discount to Singapore on the same day.
Other bio-bunker news
Supplier Vilma Oil Med has completed three B30-VLSFO bunker operations in the Port of Ceuta, the port authority said. The biofuel was shipped as cargo from Rotterdam to Ceuta and stored in Petrolifera Ducar’s storage facilities in the port area.
