Typhoon Danas made landfall in Taiwan’s Chiayi County on Sunday and has weakened since then. It is expected to make a second landfall along the coast between Taizhou in Zhejiang and Ningde in Fujian between Tuesday afternoon and evening, according to China’s Ministry of Water Resources.
The port is currently experiencing strong winds of 24–29 knots and swells reaching up to one metre.
Operations are expected to fully resume on Thursday when calmer weather conditions are forecast.
Several ports across South China and the Yangtze River Delta have been suspended since Sunday, a source said.
