Deliveries to Dunmura are scheduled to start from 2027 and can be offered on both “free-on-board (FOB) or a delivered-ex-ship (DES) basis,” Galveston LNG Bunker Port (GLBP) confirmed.
“This agreement gives our customers access to the largest LNG production market globally,” Peter Mackey, chief executive of Dunmura said. “As a company dedicated to the LNG bunkering sector, we see this agreement as a critical first step as we begin to build out our LNG supply portfolio globally,” Mackey added.
Texas-based GLBP, a joint venture between Pilot LNG and Seapath Group, is a planned dedicated LNG bunker facility on the Texas city ship channel on the US East Coast.
When operational, this location will enable it to “serve major ports” in the wider Houston-Galveston region, “including Port Houston, the Port of Galveston and the Port of Texas City,” the company explains on its website.
According to its website, it plans to offer physical deliveries to a wide segment of dual-fuel ships using barges.
