Singapore and Malaysia
VLSFO availability has tightened in Singapore, with lead times increasing from 4–10 days last week to 8–13 days now. Some suppliers are experiencing barge loading delays, further tightening supply, according to a source.
HSFO lead times have also increased, from 4–8 days last week to 5–9 days now, while LSMGO remains largely stable at 2–5 days.
Meanwhile, at Malaysia’s Port Klang, VLSFO and LSMGO are readily available, with prompt deliveries possible for small quantities, but HSFO supply remains constrained.
East Asia
In Zhoushan, VLSFO lead times have risen from around three days last week to 4–6 days due to low stock levels and delayed replenishments for some suppliers, according to a source. LSMGO lead times have also increased to 4–6 days, while HSFO availability has tightened significantly, with lead times increasing from about three days last week to 7–10 days now.
In northern China, Dalian and Qingdao have ample VLSFO and LSMGO stocks, though HSFO remains scarce in Qingdao. Supply of VLSFO and HSFO is tight in Tianjin, while LSMGO availability is stable. In Shanghai, VLSFO and HSFO supply is under pressure, but LSMGO remains readily available.
Fuzhou has a strong supply of both VLSFO and LSMGO, whereas Xiamen has ample VLSFO but limited LSMGO. Securing prompt deliveries of VLSFO and LSMGO remains challenging in Yangpu and Guangzhou.
In Hong Kong, lead times for all fuel grades remain stable at around seven days, consistent with past few weeks.
In Taiwan, VLSFO and LSMGO supplies are steady in Hualien, Taichung and Keelung, with lead times of about two days. In Kaohsiung, deliveries for both fuel grades require lead times of four days.
Fuel availability across all grades has tightened further at several South Korean ports, with lead times extending from 3–8 days last week, to approximately 4–12 days now.
Meanwhile, bunker operations in Ulsan, Onsan, Busan, Daesan, Taean and Yeosu could face intermittent disruptions from 5–7 April due to high waves and strong winds.
In Japan, prompt VLSFO supply remains tight across several ports, including Tokyo, Chiba, Yokohama, Kawasaki, Osaka, Kobe, Sakai, Nagoya, Yokkaichi and Mizushima. LSMGO availability is stable, but securing prompt deliveries can be challenging in Osaka, Kobe, Sakai, Nagoya, Yokkaichi and Mizushima.
HSFO is readily available in Tokyo, Chiba, Yokohama and Kawasaki, though prompt supply is limited in Osaka, Kobe, Sakai, Nagoya, Yokkaichi and Mizushima.
Meanwhile, all fuel grades in Oita are subject to availability.
Oceania
In Western Australia, Kwinana, Fremantle and Kembla have strong VLSFO and LSMGO supplies, with lead times of 7–8 days. In New South Wales, Sydney has ample LSMGO availability, but securing prompt HSFO deliveries can be difficult.
In Victoria, Melbourne and Geelong hold abundant VLSFO and LSMGO stocks, but securing prompt HSFO stems can be challenging. In Queensland, Brisbane and Gladstone maintain sufficient VLSFO and LSMGO supplies, with recommended lead times of 7-8 days. HSFO availability in Brisbane remains limited.
In New Zealand, Tauranga and Auckland have adequate VLSFO stocks, with suppliers in Auckland also offering prompt LSMGO deliveries. However, rough weather expected in Tauranga from 4–7 April may disrupt bunker operations.
South Asia
VLSFO remains in tight supply at several Indian ports, including Mundra, Kandla, Mumbai, Tuticorin, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, Cochin and Haldia, consistent with recent weeks. LSMGO availability at most Indian ports depends on inquiry.
In Sri Lanka, suppliers in Colombo maintain strong stocks of VLSFO and LSMGO, with prompt availability. Suppliers in Hambantota can also offer both grades for immediate delivery.
Middle East
In Fujairah, prompt bunker availability remains tight, with lead times for all grades holding steady at 5–7 days, consistent with the previous week. Suppliers in Khor Fakkan also suggest similar lead times.
In Jeddah, VLSFO supply remains limited, while LSMGO availability is adequate. In Djibouti, bunker supply is under strain, with VLSFO and HSFO stocks nearly depleted, and LSMGO supply running low.
At Omani ports, including Sohar, Salalah, Muscat and Duqm, LSMGO supply remains plentiful.
