SIMOPs can be defined as multiple independent operations that take place at a particular location at the same time.
Singapore-based bunker supplier FueLNG said that its bunker tankers Bellina recently carried out a SIMOPs LNG bunker delivery to the NYK-owned car carrier Jasmine Leader.
The SIMOPs involved bunkering together with cargo operation to ensure a hassle-free port call for NYK Line’s ship Jasmine Leader, FueLNG said.
The bunkering happened at the PSA Asia automobile terminal in Singapore, the company said.
This is the first SIMOPs LNG bunkering of a car carrier in Southeast Asia, commented Tahir Faruqui, global head of downstream LNG at Shell.
