Zhoushan launches dual-side operation for vessels
Zhoushan port in China has completed its first simultaneous bunkering and supply operation, according to China's state-owned media firm China Daily.

Last week, the Vanuatu-flagged cargo ship Ocean Daria received 175 mt of fuel oil and 1.06 mt of supplies at anchorage from two barges at the same time. This was the first dual-side refuelling and supply replenishment service offered at the port, the media firm claimed.
Until now, vessels had to make separate stops for fuel and provisions such as spare parts and food, which added time and costs. The new service is anticipated to boost efficiency, cut expenses, and enhance Zhoushan’s anchorage capacity.
The operation was carried out under newly issued guidelines on safety, compliance and risk control. Authorities supported the process by opening a dedicated service channel, conducting equipment checks and monitoring the operation with patrol boats and drones.
