Bunkering at Zhoushan’s slightly more sheltered Xiushandong anchorage and at the port's inner anchorage of Mazhi is running smoothly but may be suspended tomorrow due to worsening weather.

The port is currently witnessing wind gusts at 20 knots and swells over half a meter.

Additionally, Zhoushan is preparing for Typhoon Kong-rey's impact, expected to begin on Saturday. Kong-rey, now a strong typhoon located 450 km southeast of Eluanbi (the southern tip of Taiwan), is anticipated to strike Taiwan’s east coast on Thursday. After moving past Taiwan, the typhoon is expected to weaken as it crosses the Taiwan Strait and continues toward the East China Sea in the days following.

In Taiwan, the Central Weather Administration has issued warnings for heavy rain and strong winds.

Bunkering in Taiwanese ports is likely to be suspended from Thursday to Saturday, another source adds.
